I remain awestruck by the lasting impressions of our recent trip to the beautiful Island of Saint Barthelemy, an 8-mile stretch of volcanic rock paradise located in the French West Indies. I love connecting to the land when I travel by getting my hands and feet on the rocks, soil, sand and by immersing myself in the sea and customs. It’s my way of posturing and aligning energetically with nature and especially to distant parts of our planet. Travel is a gift that continues to expand my senses and worldview long after the vacation ends. I return forever changed for having been exposed to new horizons and cultures.

Nature is a living, dynamic canvas created by our visionary omnipotent God of the universe. All of its elements, textures, movements and colors, provide a stunning sensory experience. When I spend time connecting to my natural surroundings, I receive a divine download that leaves a lasting impression on my heart and soul. When we’re exposed to the forces and elements of nature, somehow we know “more” from this encounter - one that often escapes our understanding. It’s those heaven-sent moments of expansiveness that words cannot describe, and for me, they often occur when I’m in a region where the land meets the sea, or where the mountains touch the sky, and where the sun spotlights the ground through dense forestry. When all that’s within me unites with all that surrounds me, something profoundly true about the nature of my being is embodied.

By celestial design, we are made of earth, water, fire, air and space; the same elemental forces that exist in nature. When we venture outdoors, our intuitive connection to these elements can awaken a deeper spiritual dimension of our beings. Nature heightens our intuition, and despite its subtle presence, Intuition is our truest and most honest friend. Get to know your inner advocate and advisor. Let it rise! Get outside. Revitalize your senses with the sights and sounds of nature in your own backyard, community, and from the land and seascapes of the places on this planet you’re privileged to visit. Become mindful during those speechless and awestruck moments and connect to the instinctual uprising within. Quiet your inner dialog and let nature’s force speak to you, and the God of its creation and yours will reveal that “message” you’re intended to receive, channel, and utilize for your good. At the very least, when the natural forces within and around me unite, I’m ping-ed with new awareness that I have an important role in a much bigger PLAN, and that I was created for more than my calendar may indicate.
